Ad-Hoc-Release according to section 15 German Securities Trading Act

VOGT electronic AG, an important manufacturer of inductive components and modules, generated a turnover of EUR 78.2 million, in the first half of fiscal year 2008. Adjusted by special items sales decreased by 0.5% compared to previous year. Special items are mainly due to the sale of a loss-making subsidiary end of 2007, negative foreign currency exchange rate changes due to the strong Euro and a modified subcontracting process.

 

For the first six months of the current fiscal year VOGT electronic Group achieved an operating profit of EUR 4.4. million  (1^st half year  2007: EUR 2.9 million). Related to sales an EBIT margin of 5.7% has been generated (1^st half 2007: 3.1%). This positive development of EBIT results mainly from restructuring measures implemented in fiscal year 2007 to improve cost structure and to optimize operational processes.

 

Net profit after tax  and before special items improved to EUR 3.6 million (1st half year 2007: - EUR 0.5 million).
