VOGT and the Environment

VOGT understands environmental protection as a sustainable development which our environmental policy clearly documents. Considering all management decisions the preservation of the environment for future generations is a crucial criterion for us.

“We have not inherited this earth from our ancestors but we are borrowing it from our children.”

VOGT’s Environmental Policy

The main objective of VOGT’S environmental policy is the protection of the natural recourses earth, air and water as well as the economical use of raw materials and energies for company purposes.
VOGT obliges itself to continuously improve the environmental protection within the company as well as the environmental compatibility of all its products.
The following principles which are adapted and realized in accordance with the respective local circumstances serve to reach the above described objective.
  • Environmental protection plays a significant role with our management. We always focus on reachable goals and establish clear rules of conduct in this respect. The compliance with the rules established by law is really only a minimum standard for us.
  • An environmental management system is introduced which coordinates all activities related to the environmental policy and introduces necessary counter measures. This system is checked in regular intervals concerning its effectiveness.
  • We try to encourage the environmental know-how and awareness of all our employees through regular training activities. Furthermore, we are always open for improvement suggestions as far as the topic environment is concerned.
  • Before new products or new production procedures are introduced they are thoroughly tested. The entire path of life of new products is examined. All results are considered and necessary changes made.
  • We aim to close the material flow cycle both in manufacturing the products and for the products themselves. It is therefore necessary to develop adequate technologies and strategies.
  • The effect our work has on the local environments is checked and evaluated in regular intervals (e.g.: measurements).
  • In some cases we cannot prevent our environment form being harmed, but we always meet the strict regulations set by law.
