Company History
1934 to 1940
It was the emerging radio industry which inspired Hans Vogt to found the „Hans Vogt- Laboratorium für Hochfrequenz” (a laboratory for high frequency) on February the 8th, 1934. Based on his electroacoustic know-how gathered in the talkie era he dedicated his time to improving the emerging radio technology. In 1934 he founded the company Vogt & Co. in

1940 to 1950
The young enterprise was able to considerably increase its production of high-quality coil components for radios and wireless receiving sets. This was the cornerstone for the production of soft ferrite cores.

1950 to 1960
In these years, the company managed to enlarge its assortment of elastomeric materials mainly focussing on ferrite materials and coil components.
1960 to 1970
In this decade the company concentrated on improving the ferrite materials and on developing numerous new components for the entertainment electronics. A special development was the VHF variometer for frequencies between 87 and 108 megahertz to be used in portable radio receivers.

In those years the main part of the turnover was achieved through newly developed components especially for the use in colour TVs. In 1970 today’s VOGT electronic Austria GmbH with its headquarters in Niederwalchen was founded.

In 1984 the legal form of the company Vogt & Co. was changed to a public limited company - VOGT electronic AG. The first shares were sold at the stock-market in 1986.
